Santuario de la Virgen de La Balma

English presentation
Into the llimits of Aragon, the "Virgin from Balma Sanctuary" is situated in a mountain stony wall that seems it has to collapse into the riverbed of the Bergantes. This Sanctuary, half building half cave, is formed by a church, a restaurant and a summer station. The Sanctuary excavated in the alive rock presents a large front with balconies, balusters and in-rock corridors. On both sides of his front door you will be able to find access paths stairs to the top floor where there are several dependences, so called " room of the dances ", with major dimensions and with round arches.

Hi, here we are: Annalisa & Accursio from Italy.
We've seen your photos about Morella and Virgen de La Balma. This summer we've been in Spain for a couple of week, touring from Valencia to Barcelona and visiting the Maestrazgo region.
We visited Morella during the Quintos night (but we chose to don't see the bull's "corrida") and then visited the santuary of Virgen de La Balma.
Your phots are really nice... and it's fun to see that, maybe, we've visited the same places in that area...

Cheers Accursio & Annalisa

Thank you for your thoughts Accursio! If you want to see more photos about what happened in Morella this summer you can visit my blog main page at www.constantincocioaba.info! You will be able to see what happened during the bull's "corrida" this summer :) because I have made photos each and every day of bull's week. Above all, I invite you in Morella next summer (august of 2006) because you will be able to see something that you can see ONCE in 6 year: The Sexenal Year Party!
